Michael's path as a musician is constantly evolving with new influences, which allow him comfort in diverse settings such as jazz, classical, folk, rock, and avant-garde performances. His philosophy relies on community building and nurturing the skills to be an active leader and listener in music making.

Michael was awesome! My arms definitely got a work out. He helped me figure out my violin. Great first lesson.
Michael is such a caring and intuitive teacher. I get so much out of our lessons. He makes me think how the whole body works in unison with the instrument.

I am learning stuff that I never learned in the years I played violin and then fiddle... Now, I am working on doing what Michael asked, practice 15 mins a day, oh no big deal... Right... :)

I made it thru all stages of my first "fiddle" song. I like the way Michael breaks the song down into stages, sections. We then discussed techniques to practice for improvement.
