What’s your name, where are you from, and when did you start learning violin?
Hi, my name is Thông, and I’m from Vietnam. When I started learning violin, I started learning with Trala. I’ve been learning for almost a year.
Why did you decide to learn violin?
I have had lessons in guitar and piano, but they were very difficult. And then I went back to my hometown in Vietnam, and my aunt and uncle who both play the saxophone inspired me to play the violin. And I have another aunt who is operating a tea house, so I often come there to practice violin and entertain the guests.
What are your goals?
I want to play violin in a small group. I want to play for my friends and family, and I want to become a professional musician one day.
Thông has been a Trala student since 2020. When he’s not learning with Trala, he likes to play violin for guests at his aunt’s tea house.
