What’s your name, where are you from, and when did you start learning violin?

I’m Nicole, I'm currently in Portugal, but originally from the Netherlands, I started the violin just about a month ago.

Why did you decide to learn violin?

I previously tried flute, the piano, and electric guitar. I've always liked the violin, but I was always kind of scared because everyone's always saying it's so difficult, so I never even tried to pick it up. It's the one instrument that makes more sense to me than any other instrument.

What are your goals for the violin?

I would really love to be able to freestyle a little bit on the violin, because I've been to places where musicians were jamming and just playing around, like bonfires or festivals, and I would really like to be able to do that in some way. Being able to freely play with other musicians is something I’d like to do at some point in the near future.
