Energetic and flexible, Em's teaching style matches her wide range of musical interests. With a specific passion for composition and theory, she loves to incorporate that knowledge into her teaching, whether her student is motivated by classical music or prefers film, folk, fiddling or pop. Em has been playing since age 4, and studied music composition for film, TV and video games at Berklee College of Music. In addition to teaching, she is currently a lead producer for a California-based music studio, contributing as a composer, orchestrator and arranger. Also, don't be surprised to have a conversation about injury prevention and player health, which is an important topic to address for all students seeking a lifetime of violin enjoyment.
